Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn’t — yet.
“Honhaar” is a Hindi–Urdu word for a promising, talented young person. We built this site for exactly that student: bright, hard-working, and too often missing out because nobody told them a scholarship existed or how to apply.
What we do
Honhaar gathers scholarships, deadlines, funding tools, practical guides and contests into one free, fast website that works on any phone. We focus on students in India, Pakistan and the wider South Asian community, and on the international awards most open to them.
How we work
- Primary sources first. Every scholarship links to its official website. We describe programmes in our own words and tell you to confirm details there.
- No fees from students. Searching, tools, guides, contests and personal matches are free.
- Clear about money. We are funded by Google AdSense advertising, sponsors, donations and — only when a student opts in — introductions to education partners. Sponsored content is always labelled.
- Independent. We are not a government body and are not affiliated with any scholarship programme, university or company that uses the word “Honhaar”.
Editorial standards
Guides are written to help a first-generation applicant act today: specific steps, realistic timelines and honest warnings. We correct errors quickly — if you spot one, tell us and we will update the page.
