This policy explains what information Honhaar.com (“Honhaar”, “we”) collects, why, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.
1. Information you give us
When you submit a form (free match, contest entry, donation pledge, careers, partnership, newsletter or contact), we receive the details you enter, such as your name, email, optional phone number, education details and message. We use them only to respond to you and provide the service you asked for.
Partner introductions (optional). On the free match form you may tick a box allowing selected education partners — such as universities, lenders and counsellors — to contact you about options matching your goals. We share your details with partners only if you tick that box, and only with partners relevant to your stated goals. You can withdraw consent at any time via the contact page.
We never ask for bank, card, passport or national ID numbers in our forms.
2. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our host and advertising partners may receive technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring site. We store small preferences in your browser (theme, saved scholarships, cookie choice, readiness checklist) using local storage; these stay on your device.
3. Advertising — Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. 4. Embedded content
Videos are embedded from YouTube using privacy-enhanced mode and load only after you press play. Once loaded, YouTube may collect data under its own policy.
5. Form processing
Form submissions are delivered to our private inbox through a third-party form-forwarding service. We keep submissions only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record-keeping, normally no longer than 24 months.
6. Children
Honhaar is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users under 18 should use forms and contests with a parent or guardian’s knowledge. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, or withdraw consent, by using the contact form and choosing “Privacy request”. Depending on where you live (for example under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the GDPR or Canadian law), you may have additional rights.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect and who can access it.
